Grace and Shalom be multiplied unto You.

We want to apologize to you all for being unable to get out the April Newsletter. April was a very busy and challenging month for us and I am sure for many. We had some flooding at the beginning of the month and we did not realize it but our metal roof apparently had a lot of loose screws and some water got into our ceiling and then a part of our ceiling in our bedroom fell down. Our computer we use to do the Newsletter, is in our bedroom and so it just was not conducive to do the Newsletter.  We were dealing with that for a few weeks. On top of that we had a dear Pastor friend Tim Jones pass unexpectedly. As of yesterday of this writing we also had another minister friend pass.

This fallen world and this age can give us some punches and from our natural perspective give us some unexpected challenges. BUT God is still on the Throne. He is never taken aback. We can be surprised, confused and miss it. But El Olam the God of Ages, The Eternal One does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of Lights (the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens), in whom there is no variation (no rising or setting) or shadow cast by His turning ( for He is perfect and never changes) James 1:16,17 Amp.

I am so thankful that God is faithful even when we are not. Do we want to strive to be faithful? Resounding yes! Are we going to miss it? Are we going to fail sometimes? Yes. There is a reason Jesus said don’t limit your forgiveness to just 7x but forgive 490 times. The takeaway should be that we keep forgiving. Interestingly enough, I heard a messianic rabbi say that Hebrew is alphanumeric and that Bethlehem, meaning House of Bread has the numerical value of 490. Nativity has the numerical value of 490. Tammim in Hebrew means to be perfect or complete. This also has a numerical value of 490.

So the Lamb of God born in the “House of Bread” who also calls Himself the Bread of Life Or the Bread of the Presence is the Tammim sacrifice to make us also complete in Christ by our faith in Him. If we believe in Christ who said take eat this unleavened Bread, this is My Body broken for you so that we might be made whole and complete. The key to our faith in Christ the Lamb of God is accepting God’s forgiveness for our failures, mistakes and sin that separate us from Him. Therefore we are no longer sinners who just sin and remain separated from God and dead in our trespasses. No!! we are believers in Christ. We are born again! We are new Creatures and no longer mere humans.

We have been made to Come Alive in Christ!! So there are two major take aways from this. We accept our forgiveness to be made whole and perfect through the Blood of the Lamb. Second we are called to forgive one another.

“For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer (in accordance with God’s will), believe (with confident trust) that you have received them, and they will be given to you. Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him (drop the issue, let it go) so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you’re your transgressions and wrongdoing (against Him and others). But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions”       Mark 11:24-26

If there was a question about losing one’s salvation well just stop receiving and giving forgiveness. It is clear that the quickest and easiest way to lose your salvation or stop communion with Christ and block every blessing and promise that God intends for us is to NOT do the most important aspect of our Faith, and that is to be forgiven and to forgive.

One of the best examples that I personally can recount in My life and Ministry is when I first went to India in 2007. I went with a friend of Mine JP Pollard and we had connect with a church in Mumbai. The Pastor we connected with had churches all over the city and he had us preaching all over sometimes 3x a day. If we were not preaching then he had us visit people in the church who needed personal prayer and or ministry. One day we visited 5 families. One of the families the wife was ill and bedridden. I don’t recall what was wrong with her but she could not get out of the bed.

The husband and daughter were there and the daughter translated for us. I don’t remember really experiencing what happened next before or after. We laid hands on her and prayed for her. I felt power or some surge of energy go from my belly up to my arm, then down my arm into the lady but then felt it bounce back!!I was excited for a second to feel that power go down so I know the power and anointing was released.

Those who believe and lay hands on the sick, it is written they shall be healed!

But what was this?? I asked the Lord why it felt as if the power just shot right back up my arm?? The LORD said she has unforgiveness towards her husband. My flesh and soul was like oh no. I did not come to counsel couples. I asked through the daughter, are you mad at your husband? She wasted no time just letting the husband have it. I did not understand since she was talking in Hindi but the answer was yes she was mad, she was bitter, she had unforgiveness in her heart.

I encouraged her that no matter what she did or he did. Even if he did not apologize God would not heal her or forgive her if she refused to forgive him. It took a little more talking back and forth with the daughter and couple but finally she said ok. She made a choice. She chose not to be ruled by her emotions or whatever had happened between them.

We prayed again and she got out of that bed immediately and we left that house with everyone rejoicing and praising God. Thank God for revelation through the Spirit and praise God understand the principles of His Word which are Light to our understanding.

It could have been easy to pray and even lay hands and then left hoping and believing God she would have been healed but it would have been for nought because the issue to her hindrance of receiving her healing was not dealth with because she was not giving forgiveness.

Forgiveness healing and our wholeness and every blessing and promise for that matter is all tied together. The Word is true and we do not have to walk in darkness or ignorance of why it seems like things are not working. If we work the Word the Word will work!!

I want to end this Newsletter by saying I hope you have/had a wonderful Mother’s day. At the time of this writing we expect to celebrate Momma Hess next week. Whatever plans you have I hope that you can find forgiveness and Shalom if any is needed to enjoy your families. Thank You for your patience and understand as we pray and expect to be back to our monthly schedule back in June. Blessings.

Blessings,

David, Kelly, and Thelma Hess
