Thanksgiving in the time of Corona.

Thanksgiving is going to be very different this year in the Hess household.

If you haven't noticed I have not done a new blog on our website since August.

My dad Rev. Gary Hess passed on August 26th 2021. He caught cov-id and along with other health issues especially some heart issues he declined rapidly. It has been challenging without him and dealing with all the emotions of loss can be difficult to bear. I am sure it will be similar for many of you as we have heard many reports of many families losing love ones in these past few months. Dad was working with a prayer group out of Lexington Ky and their leader passed the day after dad did. A good friend and amazing spiritual leader that worked with my dad in South Africa passed a couple weeks after dad did. I am aware of many that passed before and after and it seems almost like if we are not careful that our own loss gets drowned out by all the other things happening in the world right now. But your loss is unique and YHVH who sees you knows your pain.

The Ruach HaKodesh is our Comforter. Even in our grief sorrow pain and weaknesses our loss that we will have to face head on during the Holidays, where some chairs will be empty around the table, we can still be grateful that we are still here. We have not been raptured, we have survived and so now we must carry on the legacy the assignment of those that are now in the Presence of The LORD. We can still be thankful for the promises of God that are Yes and Amen! We can be thankful for peace that passes understanding. He is still Rapha (the Healer) and He is still Yireh (the Provider). No matter what comes we can still rejoice in Christ our Savior and worship Him in our brokenness. We can still say "Thank You" for you are still my God. I still declare your goodness and mercy still follow me.

So many are angry and heated even in the Body and have turned against one another, but we must stand vigilant against the vices of the enemy. ! Thessalonians admonishes us how to do this.

"See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek that which is good for another and all people. Rejoice always and delight in your faith, be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the of God for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thess. 5:15-18 Amp.

If you are wondering what the will of God is for you right now, this scripture can be a model of action for you in this season especially if there is pain or confusion in your life right now. As we enter into the holiday season may we enter into HIs courts with praise and gates with thanksgiving. Please seek The LORD for more wisdom and insight into this Word from Him and how to implement this into your life. Only in His Presence can their be fullness of Joy and completer healing.

Happy Thanksgiving from our Family to Yours

Blessed is he who comes in the Name of The LORD.
